Toni Hunt started The Power She Holds in 2018 after going through a personal journey that lifted her self worth and forced her to never look back.

Since Hunt was a child she worked hard for the approval of everyone who mattered to her—teachers, principles, her parents and grandparents and even boys. She worked for other’s acknowledgment—wanting to be sure that she was on the right path to success or good enough to be someone’s trophy girlfriend.

After graduating college in Ohio and having no luck on the job market, Hunt accepted a job in Washington D.C. This move away from family, friends and everything as she knew it excited her, but it ultimately was the factor that began her growth. She questioned herself after the lonely transition—realizing that the job away from home didn’t make her feel happy as everyone suggested. This new chapter in her life was supposed to be an exhilarating time, but she was feeling even worst than she did when she was home. She asked herself “why am I even here?”

Hunt began to unveil the most vulnerable layers of her life searching for answers. She discovered her insecurities, doubts and traumas. She also discovered the power of forgiveness and overall faith in God. While her journey of self discovery was one of the most challenging moments of her life, she saw the amount of resilience and confidence in herself that she had never had. At that moment she found the answer to “why am I even here?” She sought out on her mission to help women realize, unlearn and rewrite their life for success.
